Spain had already long selected its artist with the announcement of Pastora Soler as their entrant, but left the deciding which song she’ll sing up to the public and a jury.
Getting the nod was Quedate Conmigo (“stay with me”) with a Swedish-Spanish team of writers which include Thomas G:Son (who has several Eurovision entries in his past including Sweden’s 2001 & 2006 entries, Spain’s 2007 entry, and Denmark’s 2010 entry).
Spain nearly wrestled victory from Norway back in 1995 with Anabel Conde’s Vuelve Conmigo. Might this be the ballad that does the business?
